OK, I’m sick of being made to feel like a fop, a pansy, or simply a girl because I want typography to improve. I’m especially sick of getting that bullshit when the issue is the typography of public space, like the subway. (I’m also tired of the Spacers and their Weblog commenters, who are consistently wrong about signage.) I’m sick of this city’s refusal to take typography seriously.

I hereby call for a Toronto Typographic Charter. And you’ll be reading more about it under this category (also photos) in the next two weeks.
