“IF IT WAS JUST ME AND A TAMBOURINE,
IT WOULD STILL BE THE FALL”
– Mark E. Smith

While not all the news is good in this article, one piece definitely is:

[T]he committee accepted the conclusion of city officials that a test of illuminated megabins – advertising panels with receptacles for litter and recycling – was not a success. As a result, it rejected a proposal by the bins’ developer, Spanish-owned Eucan, to extend the firm’s existing litter and recycling-bin contract with the city past its expiry date of 2008.

But does that mean we’re stuck with these abominations for two more years?
