soc.motss was not ever an “LGBTQ Internet space.” It was a gay and lesbian newsgroup and nothing more. Stonewall wasn’t led by brave transgender wymmyn of colour, either. Quit lying about gay history.
It is not true that newsreaders were incapable of threading (I was there; they were) or that one was forced to read every posting.
