As was the case two years ago, I need WordPress help.
- Remove blog-style footers from static pages (like Search).
- Completely revamp page footer. This will require a redesign, but, more importantly, getting archives off there and onto their own pages. This, apparently, requires a plug-in to make PHP work on static pages.
- Find me a perfect search “solution” that searches these archives and
fawny.organd doesn’t bust WCAG in any way, which I think rules out Google custom search.
Shouldn’t I be able to do this myself? Well, I dunno: Should I? I can’t write a lick of JavaScript and I still have the facility with CSS layouts that Microsoft did in 1998. (We’ll come back to those shortly.) I’m terrible at several things. But I can tell you who captioned a TV show within five seconds nine times out of ten. Nobody’s perfect.
Amazon-wishlisting – now a verb, like “favourite” or “friend,” but not “contact” in the Flickr sense – can be implemented to compensate anyone who helps out.
