Wow, this takes me back. Do they also still make Hakkapeliitta fog lamps and driving lamps?

Covers on twin driving lamps attached to a Mitsubishi bumper read Comet 500 Hella in Helvetica

(Hella, admittedly, fits on a lamp cover hella more conveniently than Hakkapeliitta would. And it’s a classic Helvetica usage. But are you supposed to stop your car in the pouring rain, walk out to the front bumper [at risk of being hit by another vehicle], and pull off the antimacassars just so you can switch the lights on?)

Lucida fucking Fax is not fucking “nostalgic,” unless you were born in the 1980s.

I don’t get this at all. The black type seems OK, I guess (and appears to show the Nastaliq writing style, with the shifting and angled baselines).

Two lines or Urdu are followed by a phone number, all in black type with blue outlines

So why’d they have to go and outline everything in blue ballpoint?

Sign above wood-paneled front of restaurant reads Indochine in Mrs Eaves, complete with ch ligature

Where they rebuild only the shoes that, say, Krusty the Clown or Sideshow Bob might wear.

Is this like Walker, where the snap-on serifs can be attached even to the letter O?

Poster has headline SUMMER AT TORONTO EATON CENTRE and shows an Audi key fob reading SKRTCH’NWÏN

On a billboard that drivers are expected to read in an instant, yes, Audi typesets the phrase “going backward” backwards.

Audi billboard has slogan ‘The all-new A3. Greater than going backward’ with the last two words flipped to read backwards

Good thing these fuckers got airbags out the arse, because after that kind of distraction, you may need ’em.
